Head of Analytics

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Trading business to realize and maximize value through the use of decision modeling and analyticsDevelop, implement and validate predictive modes, exploratory data analysis / mining or other analyses across the products/market Work with individual benches to develop trading strategies Generate regular reports and present to senior management, trading benches, sales teamProvide regular reporting to Senior Management. Develop models to support different trading products/marketsDevelop and maintain relationships with counter parties for market intelligence for effective business decision makingEffectively communicate business benefits of analytics and models to business and see to the implementation of these models to realize actual commercial benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Undergraduate degree in Statistics or Engineerng8 - 10 years of relevant experience in energy markets with exposure to refineries, energy trading, storage etc Analytical mind with sound business insight, excellent communicator (verbal and written), highly meticulous, and self-motivatedMaturity that will enable the candidate to be a credible counterpart to business managers and traders, and the ability to develop on-going ‘trusted advisor’ relationships based on the ability to understand, analyse, discuss and address key business challengesStrong PC skills and database familiarity; MS Office applications, including advanced spreadsheet and VBA

We are looking for a Data Analyst for our client a MNC Bank based in Saudi Arabia.

The right candidate must possess experience with Financial Systems using Informatica, Oracle ETL solutions. Strong development background with significant SQL/Database (MS-SQL/Oracle) background.

Skills and qualification:

1.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field from an accredited institution.
2.5 to 7 years experience in a similar capacity
3.Extensive working experience using Informatica, Oracle ETL solutions
5.Extensive experience on automating developing ETL jobs for different applications (e.g. mapping, scripts to load)
7.Perform merge/purge processing, segmentation and appends.
8.At least 2 years of experience with dimensional modeling and query performance tuning
10.Strong development background with significant SQL/Database (MS-SQL/Oracle) background
11.Good problem solving, design, coding and debugging skills
12.Experience in the project life cycle for data and reporting applications

17.A proven track record of supporting large scale consumer facing, highly available systems.

Main Scope of Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Ensure accuracy & integrity of data & applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation & problem resolution
2.Analyze& translate functional specifications & change requests into technical specifications.
3.Assist in defining ETL development standards and conventions
4.Ability to identify problems, offer solutions, and implement related action plans.
5.Work and liaise effectively with system vendors, IT staff and others to ensure achievement of required goals. At all times maintaining a professional image, guarding the banks interest & observing good work ethics.
6.Ability to work on multiple projects and manage priorities.
7.Must maintain current and highest level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
8.Liaising with other IT Team members to resolve issues and arrive at appropriate solutions.
9.Adhere to the banks established procedures, policies and guidelines.
10.Pursue any other related activities as directed by superiors.

As part of the Regional Group’s new Regional Finance team, you will analyze and be responsible for reporting the Group’s overseas joint ventures/associates (“JVs”) financial and business performance; and to partner the country business managers to help grow the region’s overall contribution to the Group.
