Due to expansion, we have an immediate opening for the following position:
Accountant (General Ledger) Responsible for timely month-end, bi-annual and year end closingPrepare and post General Ledger journalsResponsible for ensuring timely recovering of reimbursable expenses and accruals of expenses for different cost centres on a monthly basisPrepare reconciliation of General Ledger balances against Sub-Ledger balancesAssist the Financial, Planning and Analysis team with the analysis of vessels’ profitabilityPrepare reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactionsProcess payroll interface / upload payroll data and reconcile ship-crew related expenses against Payroll system/ manual dataPrepare and update relevant account schedules monthlyEnsure that the Accounts Payable Vendor Master Request Form is duly completed before creating or updating vendor master data in SAP. Assist Finance Manager in identifying, follow up and resolving issue arising from the use of SAP systemPrepare bank reconciliation and follow up on reconciling items to ensure they are cleared on timeAssist the Group Tax Manager in collating information for in relation to tax queries raised by Tax Authorities, for the assigned portfolio of entitiesPrepare GST return and submission to relevant GST authorities Prepare Annual Year End Financial Statements for the assigned portfolio of entities on a timely basisAttend to external auditors’ requests and queries during annual auditProvide guidance to Finance Executive when requiredAssist Finance Manager on any ad-hoc assignments
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related discipline.
