Assistant Manager/ Manager - Planning, Industry Development (IPD) - IDA

Responsibilities:

Industry Development strategies and performance management

- Develop a holistic industry development strategies in collaboration with Industry Development Group (IDG) divisions and other IDA divisions/government agencies;

- Review the framework to ensure currency and relevancy of IDG's industry development strategies. This includes:

o Establish an effective framework and processes to scan and track Singapore's infocomm industry state-of-play;

o Monitor the global or regional technological and business trends and spot emerging opportunities for the Singapore infocomm industry, and direct the developments of the Singapore infocomm industry in line of upcoming trends;

o Conduct gap analysis, identify challenges faced, and make recommendations in order to ensure the competitive future of Singapore's infocomm industry

- Assist the other IDG divisions in developing their vertical strategies in line with the overall IDG's vision and mission;

- Review and manage industry development group's corporate planning cycle, performance tracking and management reporting

Strategic Communications to internal and external stakeholders

- Establish communication strategies and channels to

o Effectively communicate IDG's role and impact (vision, mission, strategies, key achievements etc) clearly;

o Obtain buy-in and leverage collaboration platforms with other agencies and stakeholders to support IDG's work.

Requirements:

o Good first degree in economics, business (related), statistics, IT or engineering

o 2 years experience in strategic planning / corporate planning functions or consultancy

o Good understanding of the infocomm industry (ICT-related experience will be an advantage)

o Good strategic thinking and trends analysis skills, with knowledge in statistical data collection and analysis

o Good interpersonal and communications skills

o Good presentation skills

o Resourceful

o An excellent team player
